PT HR Director- onsite
We are looking for an experienced Part-Time Human Resources Director to lead key people operations for a long-term contract opportunity in Minnetonka, Minnesota. This position will guide employee relations, HR administration, benefits support, compliance activities, and core workforce processes while partnering with leadership to maintain an effective and compliant workplace. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, practical HR expertise, and the ability to manage sensitive matters with professionalism and care.
Responsibilities:
• Lead day-to-day human resources operations, ensuring policies, procedures, and employee records are managed accurately and efficiently.
• Advise managers and staff on employee relations matters, helping resolve workplace concerns in a timely, fair, and compliant manner.
• Oversee leave administration processes, including tracking, documentation, and communication with employees and internal stakeholders.
• Support benefits-related activities by answering employee questions, and issue resolution with a high level of service.
• Direct onboarding activities to create a smooth and organized experience for new hires from pre-employment through orientation.
• Monitor HR practices for alignment with employment laws, company guidelines, and regulatory requirements, recommending updates when needed.
• Partner with leadership on compensation and broader people-related decisions by providing HR guidance and operational support.
• Prepare reports, maintain documentation, and contribute to ongoing improvements in HR workflows and administrative processes.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of progressive human resources experience, including leadership-level responsibility.• Demonstrated background in employee relations, HR administration, and compliance-focused HR practices.
• Hands-on experience managing leave of absence programs and associated documentation requirements.
• Working knowledge of benefits administration and employee onboarding coordination.
• Strong understanding of employment regulations, workplace policy application, and confidential records management.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations effectively.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and support a dynamic business environment.
Compensation
