Supply Chain Management Specialist
We are looking for a Supply Chain Management Specialist to support end-to-end production planning and inventory performance for a Long-term Contract position just north of Cedarburg, Wisconsin. This role will guide scheduling, forecasting, and material readiness activities while partnering with manufacturing, engineering, sales, and customer service to keep operations aligned with business priorities. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capability, hands-on planning system experience, and a proactive approach to improving supply chain visibility, accuracy, and execution.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the production planning cycle by managing the master schedule, coordinating forecast inputs, and driving effective planning practices across operations.
• Use reporting platforms, automation, AI-enabled tools, and data analysis to strengthen planning efficiency and support better operational decisions.
• Establish inventory strategies for part families by evaluating demand patterns, safety stock levels, replenishment methods, and planning parameters.
• Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators that highlight demand changes, inventory health, capacity status, and schedule attainment.
• Review material readiness through planning workbenches, confirm jobs that can move forward, and resolve shortages, capacity issues, and data-related exceptions.
• Coordinate the monthly sales, inventory, and operations planning process by updating forecast assumptions and maintaining accurate planning data based on business direction.
• Monitor planning exception messages and take timely action to address issues according to operational impact and urgency.
• Partner with manufacturing and engineering to manage job releases, maintain capacity assumptions, support engineering changes, and reduce disruption, excess stock, and obsolete material.
• Maintain planning data accuracy and system reliability by investigating errors, identifying root causes, processing inventory adjustments, and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with customer-facing and internal teams to provide lead-time guidance, manage interfacility transfer orders, support production issue resolution, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.
Qualifications:
• Experience in supply chain management, production planning, or a closely related operations role.• Strong knowledge of forecasting, inventory analysis, scheduling, and material planning processes.
• Hands-on experience with ERP or planning systems, including SyteLine or similar manufacturing platforms.
• Ability to analyze data, interpret planning exceptions, and turn findings into practical actions.
• Proficiency with reporting tools, dashboards, and metrics used to monitor supply chain and production performance.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to work across manufacturing, engineering, sales, customer service, and other cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methods and a process-driven approach to maintaining data accuracy and operational discipline.
Compensation
