Human Resources Business Partner
Robert Half is partnering with a large company that is looking for an HR Business Partner to support a manufacturing plant in Merced, CA. The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees across multiple locations. This role is responsible for delivering strategic and hands-on HR support in employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, talent development, onboarding, compliance, and employee engagement. The ideal candidate is a proactive HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys partnering with operational leaders, and is passionate about creating a positive employee experience while supporting business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and employment-related matters.
- Partner with leaders to provide coaching and guidance on performance management, employee development, team effectiveness, and organizational change.
- Address employee relations concerns and conduct thorough workplace investigations.
- Advise managers on disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and terminations while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.
- Promote consistent, fair, and compliant application of HR practices across the organization.
- Partner with leadership to identify workforce needs and support staffing strategies.
- Collaborate with recruiting teams to attract and hire top talent.
- Manage and facilitate the onboarding experience for new employees to ensure a successful transition into the organization.
- Support workforce planning, succession planning, and employee development initiatives.
- Champion employee engagement and organizational culture initiatives.
- Facilitate employee surveys, focus groups, and feedback sessions.
- Analyze engagement results and partner with leaders to develop actionable improvement plans.
- Support change management efforts and organizational growth initiatives.
- Implement and support HR programs related to talent management, compensation, benefits, communications, and employee development.
- Monitor HR metrics, identify trends, and recommend solutions to improve retention, engagement, and workforce effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure integrity of HR systems.
Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred not required
- 3+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, industrial, logistics, or other operational environments.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, employment law, performance management, and HR best practices.
- Experience supporting managers in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Compensation
