Legal Assistant

We are looking for a Legal Assistant to support a claims team on a Contract position based in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is well suited for someone who brings a strong service mindset, practical claims knowledge, and familiarity with property damage or personal injury case handling. The selected candidate will help manage straightforward claim matters, communicate with involved parties, and keep documentation organized and current throughout the assignment.

Responsibilities:
• Assist with the handling of routine claims by reviewing case details, organizing supporting information, and preparing files for next steps.
• Communicate with customers, claimants, and internal team members to gather updates, answer questions, and provide timely status information.
• Maintain accurate case records, ensuring notes, correspondence, and claim documentation are complete and easy to track.
• Support the claims manager with day-to-day administrative and case coordination tasks related to property damage and similar matters.
• Review incoming information to help determine basic liability and whether damage-related issues should be escalated for further evaluation.
• Coordinate follow-up activities with relevant parties to keep claims moving forward within expected timelines.
• Apply case management practices to monitor open matters, identify missing items, and help resolve straightforward processing issues.

Qualifications:

• Experience supporting claims, legal, or case management work in an organized office environment.

• Working knowledge of property damage claims terminology; exposure to personal injury matters is also valuable.

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a range of contacts.

• Ability to manage documentation carefully and maintain organized, accurate case files.

• Comfortable handling routine claim matters while recognizing when issues require escalation.

• Proficiency in prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced setting.

• Must be local to Atlanta, Georgia.
