Accounts Receivable Clerk
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and issue resident invoices for community-based services such as dining purchases, salon appointments, outings, and in-house store transactions.
• Respond to resident billing inquiries with professionalism and clarity, helping resolve questions related to charges, account balances, and payment activity.
• Receive payments through multiple methods, including credit card transactions, and ensure each payment is applied correctly to the appropriate resident account.
• Maintain accurate accounts receivable records by reviewing billing data, verifying charges, and correcting discrepancies when needed.
• Reconcile payment activity and account details to support timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Work closely with community staff to confirm service usage and ensure billable items are captured completely and correctly.
• Use Microsoft Excel and Word to track account activity, prepare documentation, and support day-to-day billing operations.
Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a closely related accounting support role.• Prior experience posting payments and managing resident, customer, or client account balances with accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word for reporting, tracking, and documentation.
• Ability to process billing transactions carefully while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain invoices and payment information clearly to residents.
• Comfortable handling credit card payments and maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
• Experience working in healthcare, senior living, residential services, or a similar service-based setting is preferred.
Compensation
