Sr. Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Senior Accountant to support a growing company. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for project accounting, job cost analysis, financial reporting, funding requests, account reconciliations, and compliance-related activities for multiple development and construction projects. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data, timely reporting, and adherence to financing and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage construction and development-related accounting activities for multiple projects.
- Prepare funding requests and maintain oversight of project budgets, cash flow, and funding sources.
- Monitor project costs, commitments, and financial performance against approved budgets.
- Perform account reconciliations and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare financial reports, job cost analyses, work-in-progress schedules, and variance reporting.
- Coordinate documentation required for lenders, investors, auditors, and other stakeholders.
- Support compliance reporting, audits, and financial reviews.
- Assist with real estate transactions, project financing activities, and project transitions to operational accounting.
- Partner with development, construction, operations, and asset management teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records in a multi-entity environment.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA, CPA candidate, or advanced accounting credentials preferred not required
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Compensation
