Licensing Specialist
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Regulatory Compliance & Licensing Specialist to support a pharmacy licensing team responsible for maintaining pharmacy licensure across multiple states.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in healthcare licensing, credentialing, regulatory compliance, or highly regulated administrative environments who enjoys research, process management, and ensuring regulatory requirements are met accurately and efficiently.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies while supporting licensing activities, compliance initiatives, and project-based work.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation, submission, and renewal of pharmacy licensing applications
- Research and navigate State Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and other regulatory websites
- Verify pharmacy licenses and determine active/good standing status
- Maintain accurate licensing records, documentation, and tracking tools
- Monitor licensing deadlines and regulatory requirements to ensure timely completion
- Research newly enacted or proposed regulations and support implementation efforts
- Gather and organize supporting documentation for licensing applications
- Partner with internal teams to ensure processes remain compliant
- Prepare communications, job aids, and regulatory documentation
- Identify compliance risks and escalate concerns appropriately
- Support process improvements and regulatory initiatives
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with pharmacy licensing, regulatory compliance, credentialing, healthcare licensing, or provider enrollment
- Knowledge of state licensing regulations and understanding of how different states manage pharmacy licensing requirements
- Experience working with regulatory agencies such as:
- State Boards of Pharmacy
- DEA
- Other healthcare regulatory entities
- Experience working within highly regulated environments where accuracy and compliance are critical
Required Skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Experience using Adobe Acrobat and working with PDF documentation
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage confidential information
- Comfortable handling repetitive administrative processes while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and navigate ambiguity
Compensation
