Job Summary
The College of Nursing at the University of Kentucky invites exceptional candidates to apply for a 12-month, tenure-eligible, Special Title Series, faculty position at the rank of Associate or full Professor. This position will also serve as the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs and Policy.

The Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs and Policy provides strategic leadership for the College of Nursing’s undergraduate academic programs through teaching, scholarship, service, and academic administration. The Associate Dean collaborates with College leadership, faculty, staff, and University partners to support the College’s mission, promote student success, and foster a culture of collaboration.

The Associate Dean oversees the administration and continuous improvement of undergraduate academic programs, including faculty recruitment, workforce planning, curriculum implementation, accreditation compliance, faculty development, budget oversight, and resource management. The position teaches and advises students in the BSN and ABSN programs, mentors faculty, supports scholarly and evidence-based practice initiatives, and represents the College within the University, healthcare organizations, professional associations, and the community.

Qualified candidates must possess a terminal degree in nursing and hold (or be eligible to obtain) an active Kentucky RN license. Candidates must have a minimum of five years of teaching experience at the baccalaureate level or higher and a minimum of two years of full-time or equivalent experience employed as a BSN-prepared nurse in the last 5 years. Demonstrated expertise in nursing administration, undergraduate nursing education, faculty leadership, and knowledge of accreditation and regulatory standards is required. Candidates should possess exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
