Commercial Quality Control Analyst

Liberty FCU, a full-service credit union, is currently seeking a Commercial Quality Control Analyst. The candidate must ensure the credit union maintains a sound commercial loan portfolio with respect to compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Process the following Quality Control functions:
    • Review all commercial loans and related documentation for accuracy and compliance pre and post closing.
    • Review our core system for accuracy of loans booked.
  • Ensure all appropriate documents are recorded and received for loans.
  • Ensure paid off loans are handled appropriately, and lien releases are processed monthly.
  • Handle UCC continuations and terminations.
  • Assist with tracking insurance on all commercial loans.
  • Assist with balancing internal accounts.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain document exception report for management and loan officers of findings explaining errors and citing appropriate defects that do not align with internal policies, investor guidelines, compliance, or applicable regulations.
  • Serve as backup to other commercial loan documentation specialists.
  • Assist with any other duties assigned by management.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven computer skills.
  • In-depth understanding of the commercial loan operating system.
  • Detailed knowledge of processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of credit union history, philosophy, organization, bylaws, and operational procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge of credit union’s policies and procedures, lending procedures and credit policies.
  • Knowledge of federal lending regulations.
  • Ability to analyze policies, procedures and guidelines in a way that maximizes productivity but protects the level of risk desired.
  • Must be able to establish productive business interpersonal relationships with others inside and outside the organization and to work with little direct supervision in carrying out the responsibilities assigned.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Internet Explorer.
  • Must have flexibility in working schedule; may be required to work weekends and/or extended hours. Reliable attendance is critical.
  • Ability to operate standard business equipment: fax, copiers, printers, calculators, computers, etc.
  • Ability to present professional image.
  • Ability to handle sensitive documents or other confidential information.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to perform multiple job functions and tasks with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to communicate and work well with all levels of employees, officers, and directors.
  • Must have attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines and deal tactfully with clients (internal and external).
  • College degree a plus, with a demonstrated mastery of loan processing principles: however, a combination of experience and education may be substituted for degree requirements.
  • Experience and overall understanding of loan systems and various related host systems.

Physical Requirements:

  • Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise and temperature.
  • Sitting for long periods of time.
  • Standing, bending, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
  • Extended viewing of computer screens.
