Position Summary
Responsible for repairing, refurbishing, and cleaning basic BiPolar surgical instruments under the supervision of a Lead Technician.
Schedule: 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday
Responsibilities: Essential Duties
- Buff, polish, grind, and perform repairs on basic BiPolar surgical instruments.
- Instruments include, but are not limited to, BiPolar surgical instruments.
- Perform surface treatment and coating of instruments.
- Conduct red-wheeling and bead blasting as needed.
- Repair, replace, and realign components to complete full refurbishment of BiPolar instrumentation.
- Evaluate, adjust, and test instrumentation.
- Maintain daily work logs.
- Tape instruments as required.
- Comply with applicable ISO and FDA regulations as stated in the Quality Manual.
- Successfully complete all required ISO and SOP training as outlined in the career path guide.
- Clean work area daily.
Expertise: Qualifications – Experience/Training/Education
Required
- High School Diploma.
- Previous experience with machining or handling delicate metal instruments is desirable.
Preferred
- Six months of refurbishing experience.
- Successful completion of Technician I BiPolar Basic Repair training schedule requirements, including but not limited to:
- Passing quality inspection.
- Demonstrating how to locate applicable inspection instructions.
- Identifying and listing applicable test materials on the worksheet.
- Identifying and listing the appropriate equipment and tools on the worksheet.
Physical Requirements

Salary Range: $19.31- $27.03 Hour
The targeted range for this role takes into account a range of factors that are considered when making compensation and hiring decisions; included but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
