How you will make an impact:

Join Crane Currency as an HR Assistant (Temporary 20+ hrs/wk) to support the Human Resources team by coordinating security clearance activities and onboarding processes for new associates and contractors. This role serves as a liaison between candidates, recruiters, SR HR Coordinator, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of Bureau Engraving & Printing clearance requirements and onboarding activities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling/managing confidential information and multiple deadlines.

Review BEP - Contractor Request forms received from recruiters and ensure files are password protected per company requirements prior to submission.

Communicate with Sr HR Coordinator regarding candidate information, job title, work location, and required clearance risk level.

Coordinate and schedule onsite fingerprinting and identification verification appointments.

Collect, package, and ship fingerprint cards and identification documents to the BEP Personnel Security Division.

Monitor clearance activity and maintain communication with candidates throughout the clearance process.

Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

Required:

High school diploma required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

1–3 years of administrative, HR, onboarding, recruiting coordination, or compliance experience preferred.

Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Experience handling confidential and sensitive information.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Ability to manage multiple candidates and deadlines simultaneously.

Experience supporting onboarding, security clearance, or government contracting processes is a plus
