Overview

Manage the daily operations of College of Dentistry's Department of Continuing Dental Education and the Apa Suite to ensure an efficient, patient-centered environment that supports high-quality clinical education and patient care. Coordinate patient scheduling and clinical workflows to maximize chair utilization and provider productivity. Oversee patient registration, electronic health record documentation, billing processes, and fee collection to ensure accuracy and compliance. Support the presentation and coordination of comprehensive treatment plans, financial arrangements, and patient acceptance of recommended care. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures that enhance efficiency while maintaining compliance with institutional, regulatory, infection control, and Article 28 requirements. Ensure patient care is delivered in a timely and appropriate manner. Serve as the primary operational resource for faculty and students by facilitating efficient clinic flow and resolving operational challenges that impact patient care or education.

Responsibilities

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration

Required Experience:
5+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience supervising office and/or clinical activities.

Preferred Experience:
2+ years Experience in a large dental clinic operation. Knowledge of electronic health records and/or AxiUm software.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, and customer service skills. Ability to train staff in use of customer service techniques. Ability to conduct audits to ensure data integrity. Ability to respond to a variety of demands in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of standard office software.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Familiarity with Article 28 and related health protocols


Qualifications

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $85,000.00 to USD $105,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
