Senior Manager, Server Service Delivery

The Senior Manager, Server Service Delivery Manager is a hybrid role located in Richmond, VA, but we are open to a remote working arrangement.
In this role, you will provide leadership and oversight for enterprise server infrastructure services spanning on-premises, abstracted, cloud-operated, and coordinated environments. This role is accountable for operational performance, service quality, vendor execution, compliance, risk management, and sustained improvement across computing, data retention, and recovery platforms. You will work closely with engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, cloud, application, audit, and business teams to ensure infrastructure services are secure, resilient, and aligned with enterprise technology priorities.
What you will be doing:
- Leading enterprise server, storage, and backup services, ensuring availability, reliability, performance, and operational excellence across business-critical environments.
- Coordinating service delivery for Windows, Linux, virtualized, cloud, and combined on-premises and cloud infrastructure platforms while maintaining compliance with service levels and technical standards.
- Directing operational governance activities, including monitoring, leading system patches, resolving security vulnerabilities, disaster recovery readiness, configuration management, and infrastructure lifecycle planning.
- Delivering executive-level reporting and operational reviews that provide transparency into service performance, risks, compliance status, incident trends, and improvement opportunities.
- Running vendor and managed service provider relationships, driving accountability for service quality, contractual commitments, blocking issues, and continuous improvement.
- Leading coordination of release readiness, production acceptance, transition-to-support activities, and cutover planning for infrastructure initiatives.
- Driving audit, compliance, and risk management efforts, including access governance, control evidence, remediation tracking, backup validation, and recovery testing.
- Championing automation, standardization, process maturity, and technical debt reduction initiatives that strengthen operational efficiency, resiliency, and cost effectiveness.
We want you to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience considered. Master's degree preferred.
- 8+ years in infrastructure operations, server engineering, technology operations, managed services, or related disciplines supporting enterprise-scale environments.
- 3+ years of experience leading service delivery, operational governance, vendor management, or enterprise infrastructure service ownership.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, virtualization technologies, cloud and hybrid infrastructure, monitoring platforms, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and disaster recovery practices.
- Experience leading ITIL-based processes, including incident, problem, change, configuration, capacity, availability, request, and service level management.
- Expertise supporting enterprise storage and backup environments, including SAN/NAS technologies, storage arrays, replication, snapshot management, Rubrik, Commvault, HYCU, IBM TSM, and related platforms.
- Solid understanding of compliance, audit, access governance, operational risk management, disaster recovery planning, and Recovery Time and Recovery Point Objective requirements.
- Validated ability to lead multi-functional teams, communicate effectively with technical and executive partners, and leverage tools such as ServiceNow, CMDB, Power BI, and operational reporting platforms.
The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions. The Salary Range for this position is: $132,500.00 - $202,100.00.
