Job Description:
JSL Technologies is seeking an LCS CSHW ISEA Support Hardware Engineer to provide In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) support for Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Combat System Hardware (CSHW). This position will support technical analysis, product development, engineering troubleshooting, installation support, sustainment transition, and technical documentation activities for CSHW systems from the Port Hueneme Division (PHD) location.
· Develop, analyze, and review testing and installation procedures in support of shipboard installations, troubleshooting efforts, and designated land-based facilities.
· Author, review, and support technical products such as white papers, technical proposals, customer feature requirements, engineering analysis, and Tech Refresh baseline enhancement materials.
· Perform engineering, troubleshooting, and installation support services for LCS CSHW systems in support of shipboard assets and land-based facilities.
· Read, interpret, and review engineering drawings and schematics to support system analysis, technical documentation, installation planning, and troubleshooting activities.
· Author, review, and edit technical documentation, including technical manuals, allowance parts lists, procurement lists, form-fit-function part replacement documentation, technical data packages, and installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.
· Research, collect, analyze, and disseminate engineering and technical information to support CSHW enhancements, modernization planning, and sustainment decision-making.
· Partner with Government technical teams to support the transition of engineering products from production to sustainment support.
· Support technical interchange meetings, conferences, customer discussions, and related technical coordination activities as required by the Government lead.
· Use standard tools safely and effectively while supporting equipment handling, installation, troubleshooting, and related technical support activities.
· Support travel and shipboard or site support requirements as needed, including technical assistance visits and related reporting.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need of employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future.
· Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance level Secret.
· Experience with computer and network hardware, such as monitors, KVM switches, routers, switches, firewalls, and Cisco hardware, with a functional understanding of network terminology.
· Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and reviewing engineering drawings and schematics.
· Ability to author, review, and edit technical documentation, including technical manuals, allowance parts lists, procurement lists, form-fit-function part replacement documentation, technical data packages, and installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, and Teams, and Adobe Acrobat DC.
· Demonstrated knowledge in the safe and effective use of standard tools.
· Physical ability to lift equipment weighing over 25 lbs.
· Ability to support shipboard assets and designated land-based facilities, including travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Knowledge of naval combat systems.
· Prior experience supporting Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), Combat System Hardware (CSHW), In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA), Navy combat systems, or shipboard technical support activities.
· Experience supporting shipboard installations, troubleshooting, technical assistance visits, or land-based test/support facilities.
· Experience with network hardware, virtualization, Windows/Linux operating environments, or related combat system hardware support environments.
· Experience supporting technical writing, technical manual updates, installation procedures, maintenance procedures, troubleshooting procedures, or technical data package development.
· Current or prior U.S. Government Secret clearance.
Security Clearance:
Applicants must have an active security clearance and/or the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a DoD Government-granted security clearance.
