This position has NO Hybrid or Remote work available
The Hardware Integration Technical Lead is expected to be a highly motivated self-starter with an ability to operate effectively on a team of engineers and technicians. The Technical Lead is an engineer or program technical representative that is responsible for the supplier’s technical role within the program. The candidate should have experience managing suppliers who provide hardware and software solutions and will independently evaluate the technical trade space. The candidate will lead in requirements analysis, technical trade studies, formally manage risks, recommending down selections, and participate in Supplier Management Team. Strong project management and cross project coordination skills are required.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
The successful candidate should possess some familiarization of weapons systems and hardware and software requirements and in the definition, design, integration, test, and certification (end-to-end development) and operation of SMS and S&RE
Expected to understand all system requirements, develop statements of work, specifications and interface control documents, prepare, monitor and update program schedules, conduct and participate in all related design reviews, and provide technical guidance to the cross-functional team
Leads the effort to develop technical requirements for the SMT
Ensures the supplier meets the technical requirements for the program
Provides technical analysis and fact-finding support for supplier proposals as required
Conducting or coordinating review of supplier documentation (e.g., technical evaluations of proposals, acceptance test procedures, cost and schedule reports, software version description documents).
Provides input to the subcontract technical procurement package, including statement of work, specifications and/or other Technical Product/ Performance Documentation (TP/PD) requirements describing technical work content
Manages and reviews the supplier’s technical baseline.
Monitors and Collaborates with the Supplier’s technical/engineering staff.
Reviews analysis and acceptance of supplier reports and technical data.
Directs the day-to-day technical issues. Authority is limited to the technical administration of these requirements.
Collaborates with SMT Lead and Program and Technical leadership ensuring identification and evaluation of entry/exit criteria for design/maturity reviews.
Collaborate with IPT/Program and SMT Lead on developing appropriate Return to Green Plan to address supplier’s unsatisfactory technical performance.
Works in conjunction with other SMT Members to monitor, evaluate and provide quarterly Supplier Performance Feedback using the Supplier Assessment Management System (SAMS).
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 12 years of related experience, OR a Master’s degree and 10 years of related experience and a minimum of 8 years as an Engineering Lead
Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in engineering, project management, program management, capture efforts and/or
Experience as an engineering technical lead to include design, procurement, hardware fabrication, installation, integration and test execution
Experience serving as an Integrated Team Lead, Capture Lead, Project Lead, and/or Cost Account Manager with responsibility for meeting defined technical, contractual, and performance requirements
Experience using program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Risk and Opportunity Management
Experience with requirements development/flow down, supplier statement of work generation, technical data package deliverables, and proposal development
Must have an active US Government Secret Clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
Preferred Qualifications
Active TS clearance and Special Program Access (PAR/SAP)
Integration, manufacturing support, and/or flight test experience
Experience managing suppliers with scope over $100M as part of a government/DOD contract
Strong problem-solving and organization skills in both independent and team environments
Capable of forming meaningful relationships with customers and effectively communicating with customers the approach to solving problems
