Report Developer

We are looking for a Report Developer to join a team in Columbus, Indiana in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This role focuses on building reliable reporting solutions, transforming data into meaningful business insights, and supporting application integrations across a modern technology environment. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with reporting tools, backend data development, and web-based technologies, with transportation systems exposure considered a plus.

Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain operational and analytical reports using SSRS, Power BI, and related reporting technologies.
• Create data solutions by writing and optimizing Oracle PL/SQL and Python code to support reporting, automation, and business intelligence needs.
• Build and support RESTful integrations that connect reporting platforms with internal and external applications.
• Partner with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements, translate business questions into technical deliverables, and present clear data outputs.
• Contribute to front-end and application-related reporting components using JavaScript, React.js, and Redux where needed.
• Work within a Microsoft-based development environment, leveraging .NET and other compatible technologies to deliver scalable solutions.
• Improve report accuracy, usability, and performance through testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing enhancement efforts.
• Assist with emerging automation and AI-driven initiatives that strengthen reporting workflows and data accessibility.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in report development, business intelligence, or a related software development role.
• Hands-on experience with SSRS and Microsoft Power BI for creating reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
• Strong technical ability in Oracle PL/SQL and Python for data processing and report support.
• Experience designing or consuming RESTful services within application or reporting environments.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, React.js, and Redux in support of user-facing reporting features.
• Familiarity with Microsoft technologies, including .NET; experience with PHP is also valuable.
• Exposure to transportation systems such as McLeod or similar platforms is preferred but not required.
