Controller
Responsibilities:
• Direct core accounting activities to maintain accurate records, dependable financial processes, and timely reporting across the organization.
• Manage the chart of accounts and general ledger environment, ensuring reconciliations, system integrity, and appropriate separation of responsibilities are consistently maintained.
• Partner with the Accounting Manager and broader accounting team to improve workflows, increase efficiency, and reinforce safeguards that protect company assets.
• Establish, update, and document accounting policies, procedures, and internal control practices to support compliance and operational consistency.
• Oversee monthly close activities by reviewing account reconciliations, confirming balances are properly supported, and providing secondary approval where required.
• Prepare and supervise internal, external, and regulatory financial reporting to ensure submissions are complete, accurate, and delivered on schedule.
• Serve as a senior leader by coaching staff, supporting career growth, and communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies by supplying requested information promptly and supporting successful audit and review activities.
• Advise leadership and cross-functional teams on financial matters, process enhancements, special projects, and both near-term and long-range priorities for the accounting function.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or controllership roles with responsibility for financial operations and reporting.• Demonstrated expertise in general ledger management, account reconciliations, and the month-end close process.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial reporting standards.
• Experience leading accounting staff and contributing to leadership development within a team environment.
• Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement effective operational or control enhancements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external parties.
• Experience supporting audits, regulatory reporting, and compliance-related documentation.
• Familiarity with accounting systems and implementation-related activities that affect financial operations.
Compensation
