Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support daily payment operations for a team in Little Rock, Arkansas. This contract opportunity is well suited for someone who is highly organized, dependable, and comfortable managing detailed financial tasks with minimal supervision. The schedule offers part-time flexibility, generally ranging from 20 to 30 hours per week, with options that can accommodate either four or five working days.

Responsibilities:
• Review incoming vendor invoices, assign accurate account coding, and prepare items for timely processing.
• Manage the full accounts payable workflow from invoice receipt through payment completion while maintaining organized records.
• Coordinate check runs and help ensure vendors are paid correctly and according to established deadlines.
• Verify invoice details against supporting documentation and resolve discrepancies before submission.
• Maintain accurate financial data entry within accounting systems and keep payable files current and audit-ready.
• Work independently to prioritize tasks, follow through on deadlines, and support smooth day-to-day accounting operations.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience handling accounts payable duties in an accounting or finance environment.
• Proven ability to code invoices accurately and process a steady volume of vendor payments.
• Familiarity with check runs, invoice review, and accounts payable recordkeeping.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with financial information.
• Ability to manage responsibilities with limited oversight and stay organized throughout the workday.
• Dependable communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a flexible part-time schedule.

Compensation

$17.10-$19.80 Hourly
