Full Charge Bookkeeper

We are looking for a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations for a Contract position based in New York, New York. This role is ideal for someone who can independently manage core bookkeeping functions, maintain accurate financial records, and keep payables, receivables, and reconciliations on track. The successful candidate will bring strong QuickBooks experience and a practical understanding of full-cycle bookkeeping in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee complete bookkeeping activities, ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and maintained in an organized manner.
• Manage accounts payable by reviewing invoices, preparing payments, and keeping vendor records current.
• Handle accounts receivable tasks, including issuing invoices, tracking incoming payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
• Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to confirm accuracy and quickly resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain and update financial data within QuickBooks to support reliable reporting and daily accounting operations.
• Prepare routine financial information and supporting records to help monitor cash flow and account activity.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience performing full charge bookkeeping responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks for transaction processing, account maintenance, and financial recordkeeping.
• Practical knowledge of accounts payable procedures, including invoice review and payment processing.
• Practical knowledge of accounts receivable functions, such as billing, payment application, and collections follow-up.
• Experience completing bank reconciliations and investigating variances with accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple accounting priorities efficiently.

Compensation

$35.00-$40.00 Hourly
