VP of Operations

We are looking for an experienced VP of Operations to lead plant performance and operational excellence at our facility. This role will guide day-to-day manufacturing activities while building strong structure, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration across the site. The position also supports key people operations, helping maintain compliance, employee records, and workforce development initiatives.

Responsibilities:
• Direct daily plant operations across production, warehouse, shipping, and receiving to ensure efficient and consistent execution.
• Provide leadership and coaching to key operational managers, setting clear expectations and supporting their growth.
• Promote a safe, compliant workplace by overseeing environmental standards, safety practices, and required training activities.
• Develop a strong working knowledge of the facility's processing methods and use operational systems, including Dynamics 365, to monitor performance and maintain accurate records.
• Review production output, equipment usage, and material processing reports to identify trends and improve plant efficiency.
• Coordinate response efforts when machinery issues arise, partnering with maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime.
• Establish and maintain an organized, well-managed plant floor with high standards for cleanliness, workflow, and overall housekeeping.
• Work closely with administrative, commercial, accounting, and IT teams to support site-wide business operations and problem-solving.
• Assist with hiring activities by supporting job postings, resume review, interview scheduling, and reference checks.
• Help manage HR-related processes such as confidential employee file maintenance, training documentation, open enrollment communication, and employee engagement support.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience leading operations within a manufacturing, processing, or plant-based environment.
• Strong background in operations management, including oversight of production, warehouse, or floor-level activities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead managers and build accountability across multiple functional areas.
• Knowledge of workplace safety, environmental compliance, and employee training practices.
• Experience using business or operational systems to track performance, maintain records, and support reporting.
• Comfortable analyzing operational data and using reports to drive process improvements and informed decisions.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to partner across operations, administration, finance, IT, and HR.
• Ability to support recruitment, employee records administration, and training coordination in a fast-paced setting.

Compensation

$120,000.00-$150,000.00 Yearly
