Position Overview
A luxury home goods company in Brea is seeking a driven, results-oriented Sales Manager to lead new business development and expand the company’s customer base. This is a true “hunter” role designed for a hungry, proactive sales professional who enjoys prospecting, opening new accounts, and identifying untapped market opportunities.
This position is focused on generating new business—not managing an existing book of accounts. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated go-getter with a demonstrated ability to introduce product lines to new customers, build strong relationships, and convert opportunities into long-term revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Prospect and engage potential customers through cold calling, email outreach, networking, referrals, industry events, and other business development activities.
- Build a strong pipeline of qualified prospects across relevant luxury home goods markets and sales channels.
- Open new customer accounts and expand the company’s products and value lines into new markets.
- Conduct presentations and communicate the company’s products, quality, value, and competitive advantages to prospective customers.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from initial outreach and discovery through proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers, buyers, retailers, distributors, designers, and other industry partners.
- Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects and accurately track pipeline activity, sales progress, and forecasts.
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer needs to identify new sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal product, operations, marketing, and leadership teams to support successful customer launches.
- Meet or exceed established goals for prospecting activity, new account acquisition, and revenue growth.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Proven success in new business development, outside sales, or a similarly growth-focused sales role.
- Strong hunter mentality with a track record of generating leads and opening new accounts.
- Experience introducing or expanding product lines into new customers and markets.
- Comfortable with cold outreach, persistent follow-up, networking, and relationship-based selling.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, relationship-building, and closing skills.
- Self-directed, competitive, and motivated by measurable sales results.
- Ability to develop and maintain an organized, active sales pipeline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience within luxury home goods, lighting, décor, furnishings, consumer products, retail, wholesale, or a related industry is highly preferred.
- Ability to work onsite in Brea throughout the onboarding and training period.
Compensation
