Sr. Accountant
Responsibilities:
• Manage payroll activities by reviewing time records, validating reported hours, and coordinating accurate processing through payroll platforms such as Paychex.
• Direct accounts receivable and accounts payable operations, including billing, disbursements, and collection follow-up to help maintain healthy cash flow.
• Record and maintain financial information in company systems and spreadsheets with a high level of accuracy and organization.
• Prepare annual budgets, support cash forecasting efforts, and analyze results against financial targets to assist leadership in decision-making.
• Strengthen accounting procedures by implementing and maintaining internal controls that protect company assets and align with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Review financial activities for adherence to company standards, established procedures, and applicable industry expectations.
• Investigate and resolve billing issues, payment questions, and discrepancies connected to customer transactions.
• Lead, coach, and assess accounting support team members to promote efficiency, accuracy, and skill development.
• Provide administrative and project-based support to leadership as business needs arise.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of accounting experience in a senior-level or progressively responsible accounting role.• Strong knowledge of month-end close activities, general ledger management, and preparation of journal entries.
• Experience performing account reconciliations and bank reconciliations with close attention to detail.
• Familiarity with payroll processing and working within accounting and payroll systems such as QuickBooks, Excel, and Paychex.
• Solid understanding of budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial performance analysis.
• Knowledge of internal controls and accounting practices that support compliance with GAAP.
• Proven ability to identify discrepancies, solve problems effectively, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation
