Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Compensation: $95 to $105 Yearly

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Supervisor to lead core accounting operations in Tampa, Florida. This position oversees the accuracy of financial records, supports the monthly close cycle, and helps ensure timely, compliant reporting across the organization. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to manage priorities in a service-focused environment.


Responsibilities:

• Direct the month-end closing process to ensure deadlines are met and financial results are reported accurately.

• Oversee general ledger activity, maintaining complete and reliable accounting records across all assigned accounts.

• Review and approve journal entries, supporting documentation, and account analyses for accuracy and compliance.

• Prepare and examine account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies and following up on outstanding items promptly.

• Coordinate audit-related activities by organizing schedules, responding to requests, and supporting financial statement reviews.

• Monitor internal accounting procedures and recommend process improvements that strengthen efficiency and control.

• Supervise day-to-day accounting operations and provide guidance to team members on technical and procedural matters.

• Partner with leadership to deliver financial information, explain variances, and support informed business decisions.


Qualifications:

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including responsibility for month-end close and general ledger management.
• Strong background in account reconciliation, journal entry review, and maintenance of accurate financial records.
• Experience supporting financial statement audits and working with auditors in a business setting that requires strong attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and reporting requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective leadership and communication skills, with the ability to guide staff and collaborate across departments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

Compensation

$95,000.00-$105,000.00 Yearly
