VP/Director of Finance
Responsibilities:
• Lead the finance function, directing daily departmental operations while ensuring accurate, efficient, and well-controlled financial activities.
• Partner with executive leadership to shape organizational strategy, offering financial insight that supports performance, growth, and responsible resource allocation.
• Develop and manage annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash flow projections, using analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Prepare and present quarterly and yearly financial reports that give leadership and governing bodies clear visibility into results and financial position.
• Monitor organizational financial health on an ongoing basis, proactively addressing issues that could affect stability, compliance, or future performance.
• Maintain strong internal controls, financial policies, and procedures to support regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and sound stewardship of funds.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely reconciliation, reliable records, and accurate financial statements.
• Guide the effective use and maintenance of finance-related systems and data, including platforms such as Salesforce, Business Central, and NAVision, to improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
• At least 8 years of progressive experience in finance, including senior-level leadership responsibility.
• Demonstrated success in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of financial controls, compliance requirements, and audit support practices.
• Experience working in nonprofit, charitable, public sector, or similarly mission-focused environments is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial systems; familiarity with Salesforce, Business Central, and Navision is advantageous.
• Exposure to international or developing-country financial operations is a plus.
Compensation
