Human Resources (HR) Assistant
We are looking for a highly organized Human Resources Assistant to support core HR operations in Minnesota. This contract position offers the opportunity to contribute to onboarding, employee support, and HR record management in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will help maintain accurate personnel information, coordinate pre-employment activities, and assist with day-to-day administrative processes across the HR function.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate onboarding activities for new team members, including preparing documentation, scheduling next steps, and ensuring a smooth start to employment.
• Maintain and update employee records within HR information systems while supporting data accuracy and proper documentation standards.
• Assist with background screening processes by tracking requirements, following up on outstanding items, and confirming completion before start dates.
• Respond to routine employee questions related to HR processes, policies, and employment documentation in a timely and courteous manner.
• Provide administrative support for HR operations, including organizing files, preparing forms, and helping manage departmental workflows.
• Support employee relations activities by documenting concerns, routing inquiries appropriately, and helping maintain consistent follow-up.
• Help monitor HR compliance tasks by ensuring required paperwork is completed and stored according to established procedures.
• Contribute to HR system-related updates and process activities as needed, including support tied to onboarding workflows and record maintenance.
Qualifications:
• Experience supporting human resources administration in a detail-oriented office or organizational setting.• Working knowledge of HRIS platforms and the ability to manage employee data with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Hands-on experience coordinating onboarding tasks and pre-employment processing for new hires.
• Familiarity with candidate screening procedures and related hiring documentation requirements.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively when assisting employees and internal stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and maintain detailed records.
• Understanding of employee relations support processes and appropriate handling of sensitive information.
Compensation
