Contracts Administrator
We are looking for an experienced Contracts Administrator to support commercial legal activities for our client's medical devices organization in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. This Long-term Contract position will partner with business and cross-functional teams to manage complex agreements, provide practical contract guidance, and help reduce legal and commercial risk in a regulated environment. The role requires strong judgment, independent execution, and the ability to balance business priorities with compliance expectations.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the preparation, review, negotiation, and completion of complex commercial agreements across sales, services, supply chain, and other business areas.
• Advise internal stakeholders on contract terms, negotiation strategy, and practical approaches to managing legal and operational risk.
• Assess contractual and business issues, resolve standard and moderately complex matters independently, and elevate higher-risk concerns when needed.
• Create clear contract summaries, track revisions, and outline key obligations to support internal decision-making.
• Examine marketing, promotional, training, digital, conference, and sales-related materials for legal and regulatory alignment.
• Evaluate product-related claims and supporting documentation to help ensure adherence to applicable healthcare and medical device standards.
• Deliver guidance and training on contracting practices, compliance expectations, legal procedures, and documentation requirements.
• Maintain and improve contract templates, governance documentation, legal records, and related corporate filing processes.
• Perform legal and regulatory research connected to healthcare, medical device operations, and commercial business activities.
• Recommend process enhancements that strengthen legal workflows, controls, and overall operating efficiency.
Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience in contract analysis, contract administration, or legal contracts support within a corporate, law firm, healthcare, or medical device setting.• 5+ years of hands-on experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on complex commercial agreements with limited supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to identify contractual risk, evaluate business impact, and recommend sound risk-mitigation strategies.
• Working knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements and regulations relevant to commercial contracting.
• Experience reviewing advertising, promotional, or sales support materials within a regulated industry.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment.
• Bachelor’s degree, JD, or other relevant post-secondary education is preferred.
• Prior experience in medical devices or healthcare, including exposure to governance, supply chain agreements, or compliance training, is preferred.
Compensation
