Benefits Coordinator
We are looking for a Human Resources Assisant (Spanish Speaking) to support key human resources activities for a growing organization in Garland, Texas. This Contract to permanent opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who can manage employee onboarding, benefits support, and day-to-day HR administration while building positive relationships across the workforce. The role also contributes to employee relations efforts, policy compliance, and the accuracy of personnel records.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the onboarding experience for incoming employees, ensuring hiring documents, eligibility verification, orientation, and first-day preparation are completed accurately and on time.
• Review pre-employment screening results and confirm required employment authorization steps are finalized in accordance with company and legal standards.
• Assist employees with benefit enrollment questions, support annual open enrollment activities, and help coordinate communication with benefit providers.
• Respond to routine employee relations matters, document concerns, and help recommend appropriate next steps in collaboration with HR leadership.
• Guide supervisors on performance discussions, corrective action practices, and consistent handling of workplace concerns.
• Track and support the annual performance review process, including follow-up communication, completion monitoring, and record maintenance.
• Help organize and deliver HR-related training initiatives covering onboarding, compliance topics, and career development programs.
• Maintain accurate employee information within HR systems and personnel files, ensuring records remain current and properly documented.
• Monitor employment law updates at the federal, state, and local levels and assist with revising policies, procedures, and handbook content to remain compliant.
Qualifications:
• Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish.• Experience supporting employee onboarding, HR administration, and benefits-related processes.
• Working knowledge of employee relations practices and the ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism.
• Familiarity with HRIS platforms and maintaining accurate personnel records.
• Understanding of employment eligibility verification and general compliance requirements within human resources.
• Ability to coordinate multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to support both employees and managers effectively.
Compensation
