Systems Analyst

We are looking for a Systems Analyst to support ambulatory technology operations in New Jersey. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role focuses on maintaining a remote hosted environment, coordinating with external partners, and helping ensure reliable data flow across connected systems. The role is ideal for someone who combines technical troubleshooting skills with healthcare IT experience and a strong service-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities:
• Partner with hosted environment vendors to coordinate server-related requests, software installations, and platform updates for ambulatory systems.
• Oversee operating system patching and application upgrade activities across terminal and application servers to support stable system performance.
• Track, review, and manage interface activity, including both new requests and updates to existing connections between systems.
• Support ambulatory practice changes by handling configuration requests, system modifications, and related follow-up tasks.
• Create, update, and resolve help desk tickets while maintaining accurate records of issues, actions taken, and outcomes.
• Develop user-facing and technical documentation to support training, issue tracking, and operational consistency.
• Analyze technical issues, summarize findings, and present practical recommendations while contributing to root cause investigations.
• Provide additional help desk coverage when support volumes increase and assist with other assigned IT support needs.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or completion of advanced technical training in a related field; a bachelor’s degree in computer science is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in systems, data, or healthcare IT support environments.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot computer systems and resolve technical issues in a structured manner.
• Working knowledge of networking, IT security, interface support, and SQL within a healthcare or ambulatory setting.
• Ability to manage responsibilities independently while collaborating effectively with vendors, end users, and internal teams.
• Familiarity with healthcare technology environments and client/server troubleshooting concepts; understanding of the OSI model is a plus.
• Certifications such as Network+, MCP-level, MCSE, or similar technical credentials are advantageous.

Compensation

$34.26-$39.67 Hourly
