Compensation: $150 to $200 Yearly

We are looking for an experienced Senior Attorney to help expand a growing bankruptcy practice serving clients in Texas. This role is well suited for an attorney who is committed to guiding individuals and families through financial challenges with clear, practical counsel. The position offers the opportunity to handle meaningful consumer-focused matters while contributing to the development of an established and collaborative remote legal team.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee consumer bankruptcy cases from initial client assessment through final resolution, with a strong focus on Chapter 7 matters.
• Meet with prospective and current clients to assess financial circumstances and recommend appropriate debt relief strategies.
• Draft, review, and finalize petitions, schedules, statements, and supporting bankruptcy filings with accuracy and timeliness.
• Represent clients in creditor meetings, court appearances, and other proceedings required throughout the bankruptcy process.
• Advise clients on legal options, procedural expectations, and case developments to ensure informed decision-making.
• Work closely with attorneys, support staff, and leadership to strengthen workflows and support the continued growth of the bankruptcy practice.
• Monitor changes in bankruptcy law, court procedures, and filing requirements to maintain compliance and effective representation.
• Manage a high-volume caseload independently while maintaining strong organization, responsiveness, and attention to deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Active license to practice law and good standing with the applicable state bar.
• At least 5 years of legal experience, including exposure to bankruptcy, consumer matters, or related practice areas.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and build trust in sensitive legal situations.
• Strong legal writing, research, and document preparation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote setting while remaining highly accountable and responsive.
• Interest in contributing to the development and expansion of a bankruptcy practice.
• No history of disciplinary action with any state bar association.

Compensation

$150,000.00-$200,000.00 Yearly
