Plaintiff Personal Injury Attorney

A well-established plaintiff-side personal injury law firm in Irvine is seeking a Plaintiff Personal Injury Attorney for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an attorney who is passionate about advocating for injured clients and managing cases through all phases of litigation. The firm handles a variety of personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, wrongful death, catastrophic injury, and product liability claims.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage personal injury cases from intake through settlement, trial, or resolution
• Draft and review pleadings, complaints, motions, discovery requests and responses, and settlement demands
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on liability, damages, and procedural issues
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, medical providers, and experts
• Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, settlement conferences, and trial proceedings
• Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers, defense counsel, and opposing parties
• Analyze medical records, expert reports, and liability evidence to evaluate case value and strategy
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status, litigation strategy, and settlement opportunities
• Prepare witnesses, exhibits, and trial materials for litigation proceedings
• Ensure compliance with court deadlines, calendaring requirements, and filing procedures

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Active membership in the California State Bar
• 3+ years of plaintiff personal injury litigation experience
• Experience handling discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediations, and court appearances
• Strong negotiation skills and experience resolving personal injury claims
• Ability to evaluate liability, causation, and damages in personal injury matters
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities
• Strong client relationship and communication skills
• Familiarity with California state court procedures and personal injury litigation practices
• Ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines
• Ability to work on-site in the Irvine office five days per week
