Payroll Specialist

Irving, TX 76092, US Temporary
Compensation: $26 to $34 Hourly

·      Process weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.

·      Review, audit, and enter employee timecards, timesheets, and payroll data.

·      Calculate overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, and other earnings adjustments.

·      Process multi-state payroll and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations.

·      Coordinate payroll processing using in-house systems and/or third-party payroll providers.

·      Maintain employee payroll records and update changes related to compensation, deductions, and benefits.

·      Track and administer vacation, PTO, sick leave, workers' compensation, and other employee accruals.

·      Process payroll-related deductions, garnishments, child support orders, union deductions, and benefit withholdings.

·      Assist with expense reimbursement processing and bonus payments.

·      Prepare payroll deposits and ensure timely funding of payroll obligations.

·      Complete payroll tax filings and year-end reporting, including W-2s, 1099s, 941s, 940s, and other required filings.

·      Reconcile payroll accounts and post payroll-related entries to the General Ledger.

·      Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

·      Assist with payroll audits and ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.

·      Communicate with benefit providers, payroll vendors, and other external contacts as needed.


Qualifications:

·      2+ years of payroll processing experience preferred.

·      Experience processing payroll for hourly and salaried employees.

·      Knowledge of payroll taxes, wage and hour regulations, and payroll compliance requirements.

·      Experience with timekeeping systems, payroll audits, and payroll reconciliations.

·      Understanding of garnishments, benefits deductions, PTO tracking, and payroll reporting.

·      Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, and basic reporting.

·      Experience with payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, UKG/Kronos, Workday, Paycom, or similar platforms.

·      Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.

·      Excellent organizational, customer service, and communication skills.


Compensation

$26.00-$34.00 Hourly
