Overview
The MFH Loan Specialist is responsible for supporting various lending and operational duties involved with the processing, documentation, and funding of manufactured loans. This position involves working closely with the manufactured lending staff and our dealer partners. Prompt and accurate processing and funding of the loans is a key part of this position and paramount to the Credit Union’s successful lending process. The MFH Loan Specialist consistently ensures that excellent member service is provided to both internal and external members as well as originating loan sources. This individual will collaborate well with members of the GreenState team to accomplish the goals of the credit unions and the MFH lending team.

Pay range for this hourly position is $29.17 - $34.11/hr with a progressive benefits package.
Responsibilities

- Review files prior to funding to ensure all requirements, stipulations and all other required documentation is collected to comply with lenders approval requirements.
- Follow up with loan sources for missing documentation and/or additional information.
- Accurately prepare detailed loan documentation for approved manufactured home loans.
- Enter new loan applications in loan origination system.
- Reviews files prior to funding to ensure all requirements, stipulations and all other required information is correct and matches lender approval requirements.
- Conduct thorough telephone interviews with borrowers at time of closing.
- Funds and disburses manufactured home loans.
- Performs HMDA update-review ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Release titles and collateral documents on paid loans.
- Complies with all credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Manages special request and projects as directed by department manager.
- Completes all credit union training including all assigned online compliance training.
- Knowledgeable on completing title transfers in all our lending states.
- Processing insurance claims on Manufactured Homes.
- Disburse / reconcile new loans funded through GL and teller station.
- Assist members internal and external with questions on Manufactured Home loans.
- Respond to member request for titles, documents etc.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required. An associate degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of Consumer loan processing and funding experience
- Knowledgeable about our Manufactured Lending program and product.
- Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory compliance; HMDA, CRA, Flood Determinations, and the Patriot Act
- Knowledgeable about all phases of loan documentation proper document filings and detail follow up in all our lending states.
- Ability to perform basic business math accurately.
- Performs well in a sometimes very rapid moving environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Performs well in a sometimes very rapid moving environment.
- Proven professional phone skills and abilities in assisting upset customers in a calming, professional manner.
- Knowledgeable with Temenos and Symitar.
- Initiative-taking with exemplary organizational skills and priority alignment
- Exceptional diligence and accuracy
- Strong people skills and ability to build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers.
- Work independently and consistently meets critical deadlines.
- Must be bondable.
Reporting Relationship
This position reports to the VP Indirect Lending & MFH.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position is not responsible for the supervision of employees.
