SEC Reporting Manager

We are looking for an experienced SEC Reporting Manager to join a contract assignment supporting quarter-end reporting activities in Missouri. This contract position is best suited for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who can quickly integrate with the team, manage key external reporting tasks, and help deliver accurate public company filings on schedule. The role is based in Missouri and follows a hybrid schedule with regular onsite collaboration.

Responsibilities:
• Lead core activities tied to the quarter-end close and external reporting timeline to help ensure a smooth and timely reporting cycle.
• Prepare, organize, and support the submission of the company’s Form 10-Q, maintaining accuracy and alignment with reporting requirements.
• Reconcile financial statements and disclosures against underlying schedules and source documentation to confirm consistency and completeness.
• Complete and maintain disclosure support materials, including required checklists and related reporting documentation.
• Develop and review earnings per share calculations along with supporting workpapers for quarterly reporting.
• Partner with accounting and finance teams to collect, validate, and assemble information needed for external reporting deliverables.
• Work closely with auditors and internal business partners to address requests and keep reporting activities moving efficiently.
• Provide support for employee benefit plan audit activities, including final-stage preparation and coordination as needed.
• Monitor deadlines and quality of deliverables to ensure all reporting outputs are finalized accurately and on time.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA certification preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in SEC reporting and public company financial reporting.
• Proven background preparing and filing Form 10-Q and/or Form 10-K documents.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting standards.
• Experience performing tie-outs, drafting disclosures, and supporting external reporting processes.
• Ability to work independently and become effective quickly in a fast-moving environment.
• High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
