Site Based Learning Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Guide students through site-based learning requirements, helping them understand expectations, timelines, and next steps for program completion.
• Support an assigned group of students with individualized coaching related to identifying and securing appropriate learning sites.
• Coordinate communication among students, university departments, faculty, and external organizations to keep placement activities moving efficiently.
• Create and deliver informational materials, training sessions, and practical resources that prepare students for successful participation in site-based learning.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of student outreach, progress, concerns, and follow-up activities.
• Provide timely ongoing communication to students, answer questions, and address barriers that may affect their progress.
• Work collaboratively with academic advising, career services, faculty, and academic leadership to strengthen student support efforts.
• Manage sensitive or escalated student situations with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment while connecting students with appropriate resources.
Qualifications:
• Prior experience in academic advising, student support services, education administration, or a closely related field.• Demonstrated commitment to customer service and the ability to build supportive relationships with diverse student populations.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
• Experience handling complex or escalated concerns with professionalism and discretion.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including tools used for documentation, data tracking, and reporting.
• Ability to conduct research, compile information accurately, and complete detailed data entry tasks.
• Adaptability, resilience, and the capacity to contribute to an inclusive and team-oriented work environment.
Compensation
