Payroll Administrator
Responsibilities:
• Process full-cycle payroll activities with a high level of accuracy, ensuring employees are paid correctly and on schedule.
• Administer multi-state payroll in compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and payroll regulations.
• Review payroll data, reports, and output regularly to identify discrepancies, research root causes, and resolve processing issues.
• Conduct recurring control checks and year-end payroll audits to support quality standards and reduce error rates over time.
• Partner with payroll leadership to refine workflows, improve operational efficiency, and remove unnecessary steps from existing processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by gathering data, recommending practical enhancements, and helping implement stronger payroll controls.
• Develop and carry out procedures that increase the consistency, quality, and effectiveness of payroll operations, including year-end activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee information while operating in alignment with ethical standards and established company guidelines.
• Foster a detail-oriented, solutions-focused work environment by supporting best practices and delivering responsive service to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
• Experience managing full-cycle payroll processing from data review through final payroll completion.• Working knowledge of multi-state payroll practices and related compliance considerations.
• Background handling payroll for employee populations ranging from approximately 101 to 500 employees.
• Proficiency with payroll systems and payroll record maintenance in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using PeopleSoft for payroll processing, reporting, or data review.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors, investigate issues, and follow through to resolution.
• Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
Compensation
