Human Resources Administrator

Compensation: $28.50 to $33 Hourly

We are looking for a Human Resources Administrator to support a non-profit organization in Valley Village, California through a Long-term Contract assignment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping HR operations organized, handling sensitive information with care, and ensuring employee data, benefits activity, and payroll-related records remain accurate. The position will contribute to day-to-day human resources administration by supporting documentation, compliance efforts, employee inquiries, and coordination with benefit providers and internal teams.

Responsibilities:
• Audit employee time and attendance details before payroll cycles and partner with managers to correct inconsistencies.
• Manage benefit-related administrative tasks, including enrollment updates, status changes, terminations, and communication with carriers or external administrators.
• Examine and submit benefit invoices for accuracy while supporting related payroll and accounting coordination.
• Maintain consistent and accurate employee information across personnel files, HR systems, benefits platforms, and retirement records.
• Update vendor and carrier portals to reflect workforce changes and preserve reliable data across systems.
• Organize electronic personnel records, including scanning, filing, retention, and secure document handling in line with policy requirements.
• Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and supporting materials tied to employee data, benefits administration, payroll activity, and HR operations.
• Respond to employee questions involving benefits, payroll documentation, personnel records, and general HR processes.
• Assist the HR team with routine administrative support, cross-functional coordination, and additional projects as business needs arise.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 3 years of experience in human resources administration, with broader HR support experience strongly valued.
• Working knowledge of benefits administration, employee records management, and HR compliance practices.
• Familiarity with timekeeping processes and payroll-related workflows; direct payroll processing exposure is a plus.
• Experience using HRIS, payroll, or benefits systems such as Paychex, Workday, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel for formulas, data review, and reporting.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining strong accuracy and organization.
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat or comparable document management tools preferred.

Compensation

$28.50-$33.00 Hourly
