Accounting Clerk
Responsibilities:
• Manage incoming and outgoing financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Record, revise, and maintain accounting information in financial systems with a high level of accuracy.
• Compare bank activity, invoices, and ledger balances to identify discrepancies and complete reconciliations.
• Prepare documentation for invoices, employee expenses, and payment submissions while ensuring records are complete and timely.
• Provide support for payroll-related data entry and maintain organized payroll records as needed.
• Organize and retain financial files so supporting documentation is easy to access and audit-ready.
• Address questions from vendors and internal teams regarding payment timing, account balances, and related issues.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes, including reporting support and document preparation.
• Follow established accounting policies and assist with audit requests and other finance-related reporting needs.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline is preferred.• At least 1 year of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative financial support is preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic accounting practices and general office procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms.
• Demonstrated accuracy in data entry and invoice processing, with strong attention to detail.
• Effective organization, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation in a deadline-driven environment is preferred.
Compensation
