Accounts Payable Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently while ensuring proper account coding and supporting documentation.
• Review payable records for completeness, resolve discrepancies, and follow up as needed to keep payments on schedule.
• Assist with clearing outstanding accounts payable items by organizing and completing backlog work in a timely manner.
• Prepare and support payment activity, including ACH transactions and check run coordination.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable files, records, and spreadsheets to support reporting and audit readiness.
• Use Microsoft Excel to track invoice status, reconcile payment details, and monitor open items.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to address invoice issues, confirm approvals, and improve processing accuracy.
Qualifications:
• Experience working in accounts payable with responsibility for invoice processing and payment support.• Knowledge of account coding and the ability to assign expenses accurately.
• Hands-on experience coding invoices in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with ACH payments and check run procedures.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills for tracking, organizing, and reviewing financial data.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Ability to work on-site Monday through Friday in Roseland, New Jersey.
Compensation
