Director of Finance

Compensation: $52.25 to $60.50 Hourly

We are looking for an experienced Director of Finance to lead financial strategy and day-to-day fiscal operations for a club environment in Stuart, Florida. This Long-term Contract position will serve as a key advisor to executive leadership, helping guide sound decisions through accurate reporting, planning, and financial insight. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership in accounting, budgeting, and compliance, along with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to a range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
• Direct the full scope of finance and accounting operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and oversight of related administrative systems.
• Develop, administer, and refine annual operating and capital budgets to support organizational priorities and resource planning.
• Track liquidity, investment activity, and capital needs to help maintain financial stability and support future initiatives.
• Maintain adherence to applicable financial policies, tax requirements, audit standards, and internal control practices.
• Work closely with department leaders to review performance results, identify trends, and improve operational efficiency through financial analysis.
• Provide strategic financial guidance for long-range planning, capital improvements, and other major business initiatives.
• Lead month-end close activities and ensure timely, accurate preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Prepare financial presentations and board-level materials that communicate results, risks, and recommendations in a clear and actionable manner.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles.
• Strong command of annual budgeting, month-end close, financial reporting, and cash flow forecasting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of financial analysis, internal controls, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience using Jonas Club Software or comparable financial management platforms, along with advanced Excel capabilities.
• Ability to explain financial concepts effectively to non-financial leaders, executives, and board members.
• Background in private club, hospitality, or nonprofit environments is strongly preferred.
• Reputation for sound judgment, professionalism, discretion, and high ethical standards.

Compensation

$52.25-$60.50 Hourly
