Compensation: $65 to $110 Yearly

We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented tax specialist to join a growing public accounting team. This role offers the chance to expand technical tax knowledge while supporting a varied client portfolio and collaborating closely with experienced accounting staff. The position is well suited for someone who values accuracy, client service, and continued career development in public accounting.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and file tax returns across a range of entity types, including individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and nonprofit organizations.
• Support tax planning initiatives by helping develop strategies and recommendations tailored to client needs.
• Research federal, state, and local tax rules to address technical questions and apply current guidance accurately.
• Create tax projections and calculate estimated payments to help clients plan effectively throughout the year.
• Examine financial records and related documentation to ensure complete and accurate tax reporting.
• Assist with responses to tax agency inquiries, notices, and audit-related information requests.
• Coordinate with leadership and clients to collect necessary data and resolve tax matters in a timely manner.
• Contribute to bookkeeping support, journal entry preparation, and other accounting assignments as business needs require.
• Manage competing priorities across multiple engagements while maintaining quality and meeting seasonal deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA license is preferred, or active progress toward certification with at least one exam section completed.
• At least 1 year of public accounting experience is preferred; relevant internship experience may also be considered.
• Working knowledge of tax preparation for individuals and business entities.
• Familiarity with federal and state tax regulations and their practical application.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with a detail-oriented client-service approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax software, including CCH ProSystem or similar platforms.

Compensation

$65,000.00-$110,000.00 Yearly
