Job Title: Accounting Specialist

Location: Branford, CT- Hybrid work model

Robert Half is working with a well-established, second-generation company in Branford, Connecticut, that is seeking an Accounting Specialist with a strong focus on accounts payable, along with general accounting responsibilities and customer service support.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants more than just a job. The role offers a hybrid schedule with remote a few days, must be local to the Branford area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process high-volume accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner
  • Review invoices, match purchase orders, code expenses, and prepare payments
  • Assist with vendor communication and resolve invoice discrepancies
  • Support general accounting functions, including reconciliations, data entry, and account maintenance
  • Provide customer service support by responding to internal and external inquiries professionally
  • Help maintain organized financial records and support the month-end close process
  • Collaborate with team members across departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

Qualifications:

• Experience handling accounts payable or closely related accounting duties

• General Ledger knowledge

• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel

• Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with vendors and internal stakeholders.

• Ability to stay organized, prioritize competing tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.


Compensation

$60,000.00-$70,000.00 Yearly
