Full Charge Bookkeeper
Property Management & Real Estate Company
Our client is seeking a hands-on Stand-Alone Controller to lead all accounting and financial operations for a growing property management and real estate company. This role will oversee the full accounting cycle, financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, and compliance across multiple properties and entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting, including general ledger, AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and month-end close
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Oversee property-level and corporate accounting for multiple entities
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
- Reconcile tenant ledgers, security deposits, intercompany accounts, and CAM charges
- Coordinate with property management on rent rolls, billing, collections, and reporting
- Support audits, tax preparation, lender reporting, and year-end close
- Maintain internal controls and improve accounting processes
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience, including real estate or property management accounting
- Prior experience in a Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior-level accounting role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation
- Experience with multiple entities and intercompany accounting
- Proficiency in Excel and Quickbooks
- CPA preferred

Compensation
