Hospital Financial/Accounting Analyst
Responsibilities:
• Conduct financial and operational reviews in Excel to identify trends, exceptions, and business performance insights.
• Investigate unpaid invoices and payment discrepancies by tracing issues through relevant workflows and recommending corrective steps.
• Perform research across multiple data sources to isolate transaction variances and determine underlying causes.
• Gather, verify, and organize information from different systems to support accurate reporting and analysis.
• Produce recurring month-end reporting related to labor, net revenue, and other operating metrics.
• Monitor project progress, maintain visibility to open items, and follow up with stakeholders to keep deliverables on track.
• Prepare customized reports, reconciliations, and summary materials for finance leadership as business needs arise.
• Document conclusions clearly and communicate findings and suggested actions to partners and decision-makers.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.• Demonstrated strength in financial analysis, variance review, and ad hoc analytical work.
• Advanced Excel proficiency, including PivotTables, filtering, and practical data analysis techniques.
• Prior accounting experience or experience supporting a finance department is strongly preferred.
• Ability to investigate issues independently and follow transactions from initiation through resolution.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings and recommendations.
• Comfortable working with incomplete information and using sound judgment to connect data points and solve problems.
Compensation
