Staff Accountant
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Reconcile bank statements, balance sheet accounts, and other financial accounts
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed
- Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for management
- Help ensure compliance with internal accounting controls, company policies, and applicable regulations
- Assist with audits by gathering and organizing requested financial documentation
- Monitor transactions for accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules, if applicable
- Participate in process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial and operational matters
- Use accounting systems and spreadsheets to analyze data and prepare reports
- Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems
- Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize workload effectively
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience supporting audits and preparing documentation is preferred
- Familiarity with systems such as SAP, Oracle NetSuite, QuickBooks, Microsoft D365, or similar platforms is a plus
