Senior Accountant

Bellevue, WA 98005, US Temporary
Compensation: $38 to $46 Hourly

  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity
  • Lead key portions of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Analyze financial statements and account balances to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Reconcile complex balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Assist with the preparation of internal and external financial reports
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies
  • Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor requests in a timely manner
  • Review accounting transactions and identify discrepancies or process issues
  • Maintain and monitor fixed asset schedules, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other supporting schedules
  • Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting processes as needed
  • Partner with cross-functional departments to provide financial information and support business decisions
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and help implement more efficient accounting procedures
  • Mentor or provide guidance to junior accounting staff, as applicable
  • Perform other accounting and finance responsibilities as assigned



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or a corporate environment
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience supporting audits and maintaining internal controls
  • CPA or CPA-track preferred, depending on the organization
  • Experience with systems such as SAP, Oracle NetSuite, QuickBooks, Microsoft D365, or similar platforms is a plus



Compensation

$38.00-$46.00 Hourly
