Target Tow Operator, Technician Entry Level
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This position is for an entry level employee while learning policies, procedures, and specific knowledge requirements for the Target Towing, Technician position. The employee will normally be in this position for 6-24 months and will be promoted to Target Towing Technician when evaluated to have gained the requisite knowledge and training.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performs repairs, modifications, and installations on company owned Tow Reels and Targets.
• Able to deploy and operate equipment in company aircraft in support of flight operations and testing.
• Able to perform work on Tow Reels and Targets.
• Install Tow Reels on aircraft and operate the same on various mission profiles.
• Maintain a good working relationship with customers and government.
SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to obtain secret security clearance.
• Required to obtain and maintain a valid US passport.
• Some experience or mechanical and electrical knowledge helpful.
• Aircraft familiarity experience useful.
• Deployment will be required internationally and, in the US, usually not to exceed 30 days.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Talk and/or hear regularly throughout the day.
• Sitting is required as needed.
• Standing and walking on occasion.
• Climb or balance; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
• Use fingers and hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms to perform work duties as needed.
• Lift and/or move up to 55 pounds frequently and at times in small, confined spaces.
• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus throughout the day.
Must be able to pass drug and background screen.
