Description

This position exists to support the Student Service side (Financial Aid Counselors) of the Financial Aid Office by awarding Red & Black Scholarships/Transfer Scholarships/Departmental Scholarships, posting Foundation Scholarships to Banner, monitoring the Scholarship Email Account, Outside Scholarships, Posting and Reporting for Institutional Scholarship, and Financial Literacy Assistance Presentations/Development, and 15-to-Finish Scholarship tracking and awarding.

Examples of Duties

Collects and Posts Outside Scholarships to Student Awards within time frames set by office policy. - 25%

Oversees the accurate posting of Red & Black Scholarships for new and returning students. - 15%

Oversees the accurate posting of Transfer Scholarships to student awards. - 15%

Accesses the UCM Scholarship Finder to track and post Foundation Scholarship funding in Banner and assists the Director with specific awards within that system. - 15%

Tracks Mule and DESE Grant recipients by Cohort ensuring reliable and accurate awards. - 10%

Collaborates with Academic Departments to award Departmental Scholarships. - 5%

Collaborates with the UCM Foundation to ensure accurate posting for specific scholarships. - 5%

Monitors the Scholarship Email Account providing responses conforming to Office Policy. - 5%

Collaborates with Admissions and other offices for the Posting and Reporting of Institutional Scholarships. - 5%

Typical Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
Education may be substituted for experience or experience may be substituted for education. Note that equivalencies are based on the following: AA = 2 years experience; BA/BS = 4 years experience; MA/MS = 6 years experience; PhD = 8 years experience.

Experience:
  • Minimum of One (1) year of employment experience in an academic/support office in higher education/public school with customer service experience required.
  • Work experience in a college or university financial aid office preferred.
  • Work experience with Banner system is preferred.

The anticipated start date for this position is no earlier than September 16, 2026
