The Impact You Will Have
The Business Analyst Principal leverages expert-level knowledge of systems and processes to direct and coordinate complex projects, acting as the primary liaison for customers and stakeholders. This role facilitates cross-functional teams, mentors staff, and ensures clear communication of status, risks, and issues to drive alignment and successful outcomes. Through advanced research, data analysis, and process evaluation, the Business Analyst Principal develops integrated solutions and performance metrics that optimize efficiency and deliver measurable value to the business, members, and providers.
What You'll Do
- Working under minimal supervision, the Principal analyst translates business needs into actionable strategies, ensuring alignment with member, provider, and client expectations.
- Directs and coordinates multiple changes and solutions of a highly complex nature. Provides regular and consistent communication regarding project status, risks, issues, and priorities with stakeholders, the project team, leadership, or any other relevant parties. Comfortable communicating and presenting complex items to all employee levels.
- Develops integrated solutions to unique and highly complex problems. Solutions may involve system enhancements or tool fixes, internal process changes, vendor utilization metrics, identifying efficiencies, cost saving opportunities, improving process flow, etc.
How You'll Do It
- Collaborating with a broad array of stakeholders (internal or external), subject matter experts, project team members, etc., to ensure the best solutions/outcomes while minimizing risk and other potential downstream impacts.
- Conducting in-depth research, analysis, and trend anticipation to ensure we are following best practices, remaining knowledgeable of industry trends, staying ahead of competitors, developing our best solutions, and measuring our results with quantifiable metrics.
- Ensuring the ongoing maintenance of completed programs, processes, tools, and initiatives through it's lifecycle. Maintain strong documentation of changes and enhancements
- Ensuring compliance with federal and state government regulations, associations, and audits. Engages the appropriate internal functions to ensure compliance issues are getting addressed, such as Legal, Finance, Legislative Affairs, etc.
- Maintaining expert-level knowledge of processes, systems, and tools while mentoring and training team members to foster collaboration, support onboarding, and share insights that enable the highest level of customer solutions
- Preparing and presenting high-level summaries and dashboards for leadership to inform strategic decisions.
- Champion emerging technologies and process automation opportunities to improve scalability and reduce manual intervention.
- Partnering with IT and business leaders to influence system upgrades, automation strategies, and future-state architecture.
- Vendor Performance Oversight.
- Performs additional responsibilities consistent with the scope and level of the role, as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of related information technology professional experience.
- Bachelor's degree; in lieu of a degree, an additional two years of relevant experience beyond the qualifications listed above may be accepted.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Master's degree in related field.
- Ability to translate complex information into actionable messaging, actively listen to diverse perspectives, and drive alignment across cross-functional priorities.
- Ability to analyze complex challenges, evaluate tradeoffs, and collaborate with stakeholders to reach effective, lasting solutions.
- Ability to effectively organize work, balance shifting priorities, and manage time across multiple workstreams to meet commitments.
- Proficiency with business technology platforms, systems, software, and tools.
- Understanding of business operations, processes, or domain context.
- Ability to analyze information and support business decisions, solutions, or process outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits:
Pay Range: $102,400.00 - $138,300.00 - $174,200.00 Annual
Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
