Billing Coordinator

Compensation: $17 to $18 Hourly

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Coordinator for a 2-month project supporting a housing and property compliance department. This role is responsible for creating and distributing invoices, maintaining licensing records, responding to inquiries from property owners and residents, and coordinating with internal inspectors to ensure accurate billing and documentation.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with billing, accounts receivable, customer service, or municipal/government experience who enjoys balancing administrative and financial responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and distribute invoices for inspection and licensing-related fees.
  • Calculate charges based on inspection activity and established fee schedules.
  • Research account information to ensure invoices are accurate and complete.
  • Respond to billing questions from customers regarding invoices, payments, and licensing fees.
  • Maintain property and licensing records, ensuring information is current and accurate.
  • Review property listings and identify missing or incomplete information.
  • Contact customers to obtain additional property or account details as needed.
  • Schedule and reschedule inspections as requested.
  • Answer incoming calls from residents and property owners, providing professional and courteous service.
  • Escalate concerns to the appropriate department when issues require additional review.
  • Document interactions and maintain accurate records within internal systems.



Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, accounting support, customer service, or administrative support.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with numbers and financial information.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to remain professional and empathetic when handling difficult conversations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Compensation

$17.00-$18.00 Hourly
