Inventory Clerk

Compensation: $18.21 to $23 Hourly

We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to support product return processing in Blaine, Minnesota. This Long-term Contract position focuses on reviewing returned items, identifying the reason each package came back, and directing products to the appropriate next step so customers receive their devices without unnecessary delays. The role combines hands-on inventory handling with system lookups, light product rework, and close coordination with teams across shipping, quality, customer service, and sales operations.


Responsibilities:

• Review returned packages, determine why each item was sent back, and sort products into the proper workflow based on findings.

• Use shipment identifiers and internal records to research returned orders and confirm the correct next action for each package.

• Route undeliverable shipments to the appropriate team so items can be prepared for reshipment.

• Inspect returns for completeness, confirm all components are present, and place eligible products back into inventory when appropriate.

• Replenish missing accessories or printed materials, make minor presentation adjustments, and prepare items for handoff to teams handling outbound shipments.

• Maintain accurate inventory and return status updates through consistent data entry and tracking practices.

• Work closely with quality, shipping, customer service, and sales operations teams to resolve return-related issues efficiently.

• Perform duties in a clean storage and fulfillment environment that involves a mix of seated desk work, standing, and handling items on the floor.

• Support backlog reduction by triaging older returned units and helping move products through the correct team


Qualifications:

• Experience with inventory tracking, inventory control, or return processing in a warehouse, stockroom, or similar operational setting.
• Ability to perform accurate data entry and use system information to research shipment or inventory details.
• Strong attention to detail when inspecting returned items, verifying contents, and identifying next steps.
• Comfortable working in an environment that requires alternating between sitting and standing throughout the day.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple departments and communicate clearly about item status and follow-up needs.
• Basic quality control awareness, including the ability to recognize common return issues and separate items accordingly.
• Willingness to work in a clean, dog-friendly workplace and handle light physical inventory tasks as needed.

Compensation

$18.21-$23.00 Hourly
